Learn to Fly

Why Learn to Fly at Niagara District Airport

Many flight schools are located within control zones at busy airports.  Students training at high traffic density airports often have trouble in continuity of flight training due to delays caused by traffic congestion, thus delaying their stay in the practice area. Equally, they can be faced with a long flight to available practice zones if the airport is located in a heavily built-up area.

Located in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, we are clear of any high-density traffic zones. This ensures that there is no waiting, and that you get the most actual training time in the airplane per flight.

Learn to Fly in Canada

Canadian licencing and training requirements are widely recognized throughout the world. Canada is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) which governs international pilot standards.

Pilot training through to commercial licence is available in Canada for students from overseas countries such as India, where pilot training capacity cannot meet demand.

At current exchange rates the cost of obtaining a pilot licence in Canada is also very attractive versus costs elsewhere, particularly Europe.

Some countries fully accept pilot Canadian qualifications. Others (e.g. the UK.) require some additional training, exams and flight-testing to obtain the home country licence after Canadian qualification.

Visit the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration website to check the requirements for entry from your country of residence.
